| MATERIALS: |
red polymer clay 24" brown, black, or tan shoelace (pick a color that will be least visible in your hair) tin foil tooth pick or wooden skewer red glitter paint |
|
| DIRECTIONS: |
| 1. Roll clay into two 1 1/2" balls. Keep rolling and apply pressure until they are more like ovals. | |
| 2. Rotate and pinch one end of the oval until it is pointed. Mash the other end onto your counter until it is flat and can stand on its own. | |
| 3. Gently create a slight curve to your horn. Smooth all around with your fingers and remove any excess from the bottom/ base. Repeat to make second horn. | |
| 4. Arrange the horns so they are curving in towards each other. using your toothpick make a hole going through each horn, make it wide enough to feed the shoelace through. Do this by making little circles with the toothpick once it is inserted in the horn. | |
| 5. Refer to the package of polymer clay to see what temperature and time the clay requires to be cooked. Place tinfoil on cookie sheet and bake horns. | |
| 6. Once horns are removed and cooled. paint them with the glitter paint and let it dry completely. | |
| 7. Run shoestring through each horn and figure out how far you want them apart from each other (approximately 3 inches). Tie a knot in the string on either side of each horn to keep them in place. | |
| 8. Tie them under your hair, at the nape of the neck. | |
