Hallowe'en Party Invitations
These little batty invitations are a great a holiday-way to invite those special ghouls and goblins to your next Hallowe'en party.

We used these invitations for our recent Kings and Queens of Horror and Hallowe'en networking event and they were quite effective at letting people know it was a first-class event, but would still be a lot of fun.

MATERIALS:
Translucent parchment
Bat finger puppets
Thin elegant black ribbon (apr 12" per invititaion)
Thin elegant red or crimson ribbon (apr 16" per invititaion)
Red Sealing wax (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Download this invitation template. Bring it into your word processing program and add all the details you'd like. Be sure to repeat this for both the top and bottom template
2. Print the invitations onto the translucent parchment and cut each around the border.
3. Roll the invitations from both ends until they meet in the middle.
4. (optional) If you're using sealing wax, drip a few drops onto the crease of the roll and let it harden.
5. Once hardened (or if not using wax), loop the length of black ribbon around the rolled invitation and tie into a bow.
6. Gently tuck the rolled invitation into the finger area of a finger puppt bat. The best price we found on finger puppet bats was $3.29 each at Act II Books and Puppets in Langley, Washington.
7. Once the invitation is inside the bat finger puppet, roll the bat's wings around itself and tie them neatly with a length of red or crimson ribbon.
8. Your bat messanger is now ready to be put into an envelope or hand-delivered to your guest!
