| DIRECTIONS: |
| 1. Paint frame of chalkboard and two wood strips purple. Paint the two fences white. Look at the back of the chalkboard to see where the hanging device is and to determine if you will hang it vertically or horizontally. If you have a choice, hang vertically. | |
| 2. Cut 2.5" tall strips of green craft foam, enough to go across the bottom of the chalkboard. Use the scissors or knife to cut uneven triangles down into it to make grass shapes. | |
| 3. Cut two pumpkins out of the orange foam then cut a jack-o-lantern face in each. | |
| 4. Using several evenly spaced dots of sticky putty (or tape, or hot glue), stick the grass at the bottom of the chalkboard, along the frame. | |
| 5. Using the putty (or tape, or hot glue) attach fences over grass and about 1 - 1.5" in from sides. Place the two Jack-o-lanterns in the opening between fences. | |
| 6. In the top half of the chalkboard, draw a moon and several stars with the fluorescent chalk. Approximately 1-2" above the fence, draw a pair of evil glowing eyes (use a different color from the stars. | |
| 7. Hot glue or putty the two wooden pieces into a slightly askew cross (window panes) and attach at the four touching points to the frame. | |
| 8. Hook a small amount of webbing on one of the top corners and spread it out to create a web and attach a few spiders. | |
| 9. Hang chalkboard in place and drape the black tulle over the top, letting it hang down the sides like curtains. Tie ribbon around the corners and about halfway down to help keep it in place, as well as pinching some between the chalkboard and the wall. | |
