This very fast and effective method of covering walls is a great way to cover those annoying walls of white in your house while hosting a Hallowe'en hootenanny.

MATERIALS:
1 roll black visqueen (or other polyethylene sheeting) 6' x 100'
1 roll high tack masking or duct tape
1 razor knife or sharp scissors
(optional) 1 box thumbtacks
DIRECTIONS:
1. Purchase a roll of Visqueen or other polyethylene sheeting at a local hardware store or online. If possible, purchase a roll 10' wide by 100' long. This should cost roughly $40 or less. If the 10' wide roll is not available, any width will do, but you may have to double your efforts while covering each wall.
2. Unroll the Visqueen on the floor next to the wall you'd like to cover. Cut the Visqueen slightly longer then the wall length.
3. The Visqueen comes folded on itself. Unfold the Visqueen to its full width (between 4' and 10' wide depending upon what you purchased).
4. If you purchased a 10' wide roll, hold the Visqueen up to where the wall meets the ceiling and either tape it in place, or tack it in place. Tacks will mar your walls and require repair. For a stronger hold, tape first, then tack as well.
5. If you purchased a roll less than 10' wide, hold the Visqueen up to approximately half the height of the wall and secure in place. Repeat steps 2 and 3. Hold the second piece of Visqueen up to where the wall meets the ceiling and secure it in place.
6. Your walls are now protected from revelers and are sinister black, perfect for any holiday gathering.
7. TIP: If the Visqueen is long enough to drape onto the floor, revelers may step on it. This can cause them to slip or pull down the Visqueen from the wall. Trimming the Visqueen or tucking it under itself is advisable.
