| Ghost to Ghost; an Art Bell Tribute Game |
 | | | | |
This game is very similar to the old “telephone” game of your childhood with the small exception of lunatic callers phoning in strange reports and wacky eye-witness accounts of the original topic.
Art Bell is a popular fringe radio show host who has for years invited callers to voice their opinions of the paranormal, supernatural, and the occult on his talk show, Coast to Coast AM. |

| EQUIPMENT: |
1 large bowl, hat, or any other object to use for picking topics 1 six-sided dice
| DIRECTIONS: |
1. Prior to the party, print off this PDF document
of topics. Cut them out and place the Guest Topics in a large bowl or other container from which they will be randomly drawn. Set aside the cut-out Caller Topics. | | | 2. Choose one guest to be the caller. This may be done by simply picking one guest. | | | 3. Explain to your guests that you will play the part of Art Bell, randomly choosing a topic. The guests’ goal is to whisper the topic from one to another without altering it. The challenge will be that each guest may be interrupted by the caller who spouts random nonsense that may or may not have anything to do with the topic. | | | 4. Randomly select one Guest Topic. Find the corresponding Caller Topic. Give the Caller Topic to your caller, then whisper the Guest Topic to the first guest. | | | 5. Each guest must roll the dice before whispering the topic to the next guest. If the dice lands on 1, the caller must start discussing anything remotely having to do with the topic. A few seconds is more than sufficient for this interruption. | | | 6. The guest then whispers the topic as they remember it to the next guest, the next guest rolls the dice to determine if there’s a caller interruption, and so forth. | | | 7. When the final guest has been told the topic, they may immediately announce it out loud to the party. | | | 8. Once the topic has been announced, read the original topic to the party. | | | 9. If the group enjoyed themselves, select another topic and play again, possibly choosing a new caller. | | | 10. optional: Of course, if using the caller is too complicated, just play a good old-fashioned game of telephone using the topics provided and ignore the caller, dice, and caller topics. | |
