| INGREDIENTS: |
12 green tea mochi ice cream balls 24 Pocky snacks 12 ounce bag of chocolate chips |
|
| DIRECTIONS: |
| 1. At an Asian market or a larger grocery store, purchase the ice cream mochi and Pocky (Japanese snack sticks). If Pocky is not available, pretzel sticks may be substituted. If frozen mochi is not available, marshmallows or marshmallow dessert cakes may be substituted, but it will change from a frozen treat. | |
| 2. Set two of the Pocky sticks aside. Cut the remaining Pocky sticks in half. | |
| 3. Push four cut Pocky sticks into each of the mochi balls except one. The mochi should now be able to stand on their Pocky legs like a table. | |
4. Arrange the eleven mochi balls on a long serving platter in a straight line or S shape so that each segment of the Mochipillar looks connected.
| |
| 5. The remaining mochi ball will be the head of the Mochipillar. Using a small piece of the remaining Pocky sticks, connect the head mochi to the front of the Mochipillar. | |
| 6. Use the chocolate chips as eyes on the Mochipillar's head, or spots along its body. Use the remaining two Pocky sticks as antenna. | |
| 7. Keep in freezer until ready to serve. | |
