Salty
Comedic Horror Poem: Elizadeth goes to Med School.
SUBMITTED BY: elizadeth
SUBMITTED ON: December 2, 2008
TYPE:
Poem
GENRE:
Comedy
DEDICATION:
Cannibalism in Medical School

STORY:
Choking on cadavers,
a salty man awakes
He stares me up and down
The darkened cellar quakes

"You vile bitch you've eaten
the arm I use for love.
You've sacrificed embraces
and the promise therefore of."

"But sir," I spoke alarmed
at the presence of his life,
"I'll take you into me and
together we'll do right.

"Another part of me hates
every part of breath
From that of every other
and so they meet their death."

"Vile woman,"
he cried into the dark,
"you're a hateful monster!"
he'd cruelly remark.

"Monsters have no reason,"
I mocked with honesty.
"For me there's only answers,
within brutality."

"Yes, but for the others,
our fate has seen no fair.
You take more than you deserve
and you are not aware."

"Shush, you lousy carcass,"
I pushed him with brut force.
His head went down and bounced,
and I stabbed him then of course.

"For you I only offer
the prize of any man.
To be inside a woman
to be eaten as she can.

"I am but a killer,
I make no vows astray."
I pulled from him intestine
and watched his world turn gray.

He died while I was hungry,
stiffened as I fed;
but in appreciation,
death's a deeper shade of dead.

Wow, you ate his "Love Arm"? Is that what you kids do in Med School?

Anyways, I like the Poe-esque meter and old timey words. I also liked how you used metaphysical imagery to counterpoint the surrealism of the underlying metaphor.

Note to self: never ever anger Elizadeth. Or go to med school with her.
