" A vampire's lust for blood overcomes its appreciation for beauty. "Her hair was pristine, eyes crystalline,Like captured hill-torches that beamedThrough her frozen tears, to someone who hearsHer muffled attempt at a scream.Her neck was enlaced, with my lust’s embraceWhere, punctured, her arteries gracedMy heart with her water, which solemnly saunteredThrough new paths and veins, unpaced.In her soul I peered, for much did it fearThe end, which now seemed so near.And her beauty, unchained from mortality’s reign,To my brethren and me, would be dear.But death I did bring, and harshly it rangFor centuries, mouring the lifeOf the one who could lightA thousand dark nights,And rapture the earth with her bite.... |
