Halloween is the last holiday on the traditional calender year that isn't bogged down by familial obligations, stress, consumerism, and things that generally make you cringe. You get to dress as what/whomever you want, be super creative, get rewarded for it, AND you get candy! What's not to love? Ok, so I don't love the growing trend of super skanky/slutty Halloween costumes-it's just degrading and an insult to the creativity of women in general. We're better than that, ladies.
